Where Have You Been?!

Yes, that is the question. Life has been rather busy this past year or so, so my blog has taken a backseat. Luckily, that's about to change and I'll have more time to devote to keeping up with this beast. :)

Since I last wrote, I dealt with carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists, dealt with the death of my much loved old Golden Retriever, Abby, and being a Lions Club District Governor. Soon, I'll be off to Seattle and by the time I get done there, my term as District Governor will be over. Am I looking forward to that? Yes and no. I loved the job, and my fellow Lions Club members are great, but what a job it is! It keeps life very busy, so I'm looking forward to some down time. I always joke that I'll sleep a solid month once I'm done. Ha! :)

I know that 2011 is almost half over (where does the time go?), but I'll try to keep a running list of the books I read. Yes folks, Ido keep a book journal with a little blurb about the book since I read so many. I'll keep you updated on what I"m reading and some thoughts, along with things I get up to. My life is sometimes very boring, or it will be once my term of office is done. That said, you'll likely find the books more interesting than my life.

Anyway, "Vision in White" by Nora Roberts is now at the top of my queue. I'm not far into it so I can't really voice an opinion except that so far, I'm liking it. That's no surprise as Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors. This book is part of "The Bride Quartet," which I think will be very girly and romantic. *sigh* More thoughts on it later.

JUST A FEW NOTE -

  • I won't give away any spoilers because I don't want to ruin books for anyone who hasn't read them yet.

  • I'm not a professional critic, just a regular avid reader.

  • My opinions are strictly that - opinions. Take them as seriously or lightly as you wish, but please do form your own opinions. Not everyone likes the same stuff, after all.

Have a great weekend and happy reading.

  2. Hey, thanks so much! It's good to be back, and yeah, the death of my Golden girl was awful. She was 12 1/2 and got lung cancer. She had a rich, full life, but still, it's devastating when they have to go.

Yep, I saw your blog and left you a comment. Love the pics from Turkey Run. Looking forward to seeing more.

This blog thing can be addeicting, can't it? :)
